		<description>BRIEF


Investigate and express the essence and spirit of the chosen songs and simply celebrate the emotions that are aroused by great words. 


                                                                                         
RESPONSE

This is a response to an ISTD brief called 78rpm-mps. My approach was to unveil how music transfigures visually in our creative minds. When we listen to music, sound, thoughts, words and emotions blend in together, while our brains starts exploring a great variety of imagery and motion. I wanted to create something that would stage the spirit of the lyrics of the chosen songs Ain’t Got No/ I Got Life by Nina Simone and Take The Long Way Home by Bloodhound Gang. Where each illustration relates to one of the phrases in the lyrics and characterize the feeling that the song generates. And from there on, it can take any illustrative form. That, I think is one of the beauties of art – in music.

		<description>BRIEF


Live-brief for an Italian Restaurant in Helsingborg, Sweden. Appointed as the 3rd best restaurant in the North-West of Skåne 2008, the restaurant has brought the best in Italian dining to the city. To celebrate its fast-growing success, I was assigned to create a new visual identity that would translated across a set of objects, in order to create a better and more suitable look to relaunch a new opening. The new identity had to captures both its traditional feel, and at the same time presents it as a modern restaurant that prides itself on showcasing traditional foods made from 
the highest quality fresh ingredients.


                                                                                         
RESPONSE


The combination of a modern typography with classic typeface demonstrates how a contemporary feel can be achieved by using a classic typeface in a modern way. At the same time it establish a consistent expression with the logo and the combination of the two typefaces exploits the feel of the restaurant as intended – a classic and modern restaurant serving traditional Italian dishes of high quality. The choice of colors are for the intention of contributing towards producing an elegant yet contemporary appearance, and represent its warmth and bright welcoming spirit of an Italian Restaurant.

ABOUT


Growing up as a healthy little Albanian girl in Sweden, I developed an interest in paper, pens, artbooks, magazines, photography, Michael Jackson CD covers and MTV animations. Being curious and studying everything, feeling drawn to shapes and form and experimenting with how I could alter and design them. 
 
To feed this gluttony curiosity and fascinations I became a designer. I studied graphic design at Cumbria University in England and am now working as a freelance designer and looking for a new ambient where I can apply and improve my skills and work with like minded people that share the same passion. I am readily available for a variety of creative work.
